Scorpio Construction Ltd Attends the Brickworks Thin Tech Plus Product Launch

Scorpio Construction Ltd was recently invited to attend the launch event of the Brickworks Thin Tech Plus exterior brick system, an innovative façade solution designed to enhance modern building design and construction efficiency.

During the event, Brickworks introduced the key features and technology behind the Thin Tech Plus system. The system combines the timeless appearance of authentic clay brick with an engineered panel support system, creating a ventilated façade solution that maintains the aesthetic qualities of traditional brick while significantly reducing weight and installation complexity.

The Thin Tech Plus system uses thin brick facings measuring approximately 42–43 mm in thickness, with a total system weight of around 49 kg per square metre. By reducing the overall weight of the façade system, the technology helps decrease structural load while improving construction efficiency. The engineered panel structure mechanically supports the thin brick units, creating a stable and durable façade system while maintaining the classic appearance of brick architecture.

The system has also obtained CodeMark certification in New Zealand and offers 100-year warranty coverage for the brick facings and a 50-year system warranty, demonstrating its durability and long-term performance.

The Thin Tech Plus system is planned to be incorporated into one of our upcoming townhouse developments in Hamilton, which is expected to become one of the early residential townhouse projects in the region to adopt this advanced façade technology.
